Boise, Idaho (January 3, 2006) — The Idaho State Board of Education and the American Board for Certification of Teacher Excellence (www.abcte.org) will hold information sessions for individuals who want to become teachers in Idaho, January 17-19, 2006 in Boise, Idaho Falls, and Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
At the sessions, attendees can meet with American Board certification counselors to discuss how they can earn their teacher certification. Individuals can pre-register to attend the events at www.abcte.org/events
The American Board offers the Passport to TeachingSM certification program that is recognized by the State of Idaho as a route to full state certification. Passport to Teaching allows highly knowledgeable professionals with bachelor’s degrees the opportunity to change careers and become teachers. Passport to Teaching certification offers individualized preparation process; no additional college courses are required.
